Jim Scott, 86 years old, resident of Anacortes, WA. He passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Birch View Memory Care in Sedro-Woolley, WA.

In 1959 Jim graduated from the University of Nevada as a Professional Engineer. He was a renowned Geologist, with mining experience in Mexico, a chief Geologist Engineer of ION Tech Inc., and staff Geologist of Santa Clara Valley Water Dist. In 1969 Jim won a gold medal from the Institute of Mining Engineers.
Jim had lived in Skagit County for over 34 years. He ran an Engineering Corp. as a Geotechnical consultant who worked all of the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands up until 2010.
