JAMES SEAY Obituary
The family moved to Washington state in 1957. Jim attended Stanwood and Mount Vernon schools. He enlisted in the Army and served from 1969 to 1971 in Korea, obtaining rank of sergeant.
After serving he was a supervisor for Snohomish County, port engineer at Kenai Packers, lead mechanic at One Way Construction, and a self-employed mechanic.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, James "Jimmy" Jr., his father, mother and brother, Don "Gene" and other chosen members.
He enjoyed welcoming people into his home, which was a refuge and gathering place for many. Food was plenty and laughter was always heard around the bonfire. He also enjoyed the peace and serenity of his home away from home in the Methow Valley. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and crabbing. He was a big fan of "start your engines" and "Go Dale Go!"
He is survived by his daughter Leah, granddaughter Lucy, brother Terry (Debbie) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Share in the celebration of his life on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Stanwood Grange, 6521 Pioneer Highway, Stanwood.
Donations can be made to the Freeborn Fire Department at 3231 300th St. NW, Stanwood, 98292.
