Richard (Dick) Gault was born in La Verne, California on Aug 15, 1917 and Joyce White was born in Spokane, Washington on Feb 4, 1923.

After completing school and then attending business college, Joyce went to work at Fort Wright in Spokane during World War II, where she met Dick, who was serving in the Army Air Force. In July 1945, Joyce and Staff Sergeant Dick were married in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they had been transferred to Fort Carson.

After marrying they returned to Dick's hometown of La Verne, California where they spent many happy years raising their son Ron and daughter Marcia. In 1972 Joyce and Dick moved from California to Carson City, Nevada where they lived until 1980 when they moved to Burlington, Washington to be near Joyce's mother, step-father, brother, and Dick's sister. They loved their 25 years living in Burlington.

In 2005 Joyce and Dick moved to Ogden, Utah and became residents of Mountain Ridge Assisted Living to be near both of their children who live in Huntsville, Utah. On November 13, 2011 Joyce passed away peacefully. Dick followed Joyce when he passed on March 16, 2012.

They are survived by their children, Joyce's sister Loris, and brother Duane, and Dick's sister Jean. Dick's sister Dorothy preceded him in death.

Joyce and Dick's ashes will be buried in the Hawthorne Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon, after a memorial service in the Cemetery's Chapel on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2 PM. Family and friends are welcome.
