Kenneth Leroy Hayes, age 72, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the son of Daniel Edward Hayes and Irene Margaret Shaw of Deer Harbor, WA.

As a young man Kenneth moved to Bunkie, LA to further his ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. When he returned, him and his oldest brother, Dan worked together in the logging business, and later he worked for Iron Mountain Logging. Kenneth later drove log truck for Frank Harkness for eight years.
Kenneth leaves Helen, his wife of 46 years, his daughters Shera Hayes of Atlanta, GA, Kenna DeVries (Wallace) of Sparks, NV, Libby Roger (Chris and children Caidyn and Caylib) of Mount Vernon, and Kaley Snodgrass (Jason) of Boise, ID, and his sons Evan Hayes (Natasha and children Kyland and Jaida) of Blaine, and Jonathan (Desiree and children Jevin and Daphne) of Buena Park, CA. Kenneth is also survived by his brothers Dan of Blaine, Bob of Sulfur, LA, and Jim of Spanaway, WA, his sisters Ellyn Zender and Joyce Stockton (Don) of Bellingham and Marilyn (Don) of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Gordon, and both parents.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 410 Ball Street, Sedro-Woolley, WA on Saturday, June 23 at 3:00 PM, Jim Pike officiating.
