Solrun Arna Theodorsson, age 58, passed away peacefully at her home in Hamilton on June 24, 2013. She was born December 12, 1954 in Keflavik, Iceland. In 1969, she moved to Burlington, Washington with her parents and sister where she graduated in 1972 from Burlington High School.

She had a passion for seeing the joy that was brought to others by the gifts she loved to give. She enjoyed planting flowers to see the beauty they brought to her surroundings. Spending time with her loved ones and grandchildren brought joy to her life. Music and dancing exalted her kind spirit, and she loved to attend concerts. She had eccentric decorating skills that lit up the rooms in her home. A favorite memory of her grandchildren was when they walked into the room to their Amma (Icelandic for grandma) doing handstands and the laughter that filled the room. She was proud of her Icelandic heritage and loved sharing her memories growing up, so she was honored to take her children to her Native Country of Iceland to explore their roots and see the culture.

She was preceded in death by her father Erling, her father-in-law Ron and her mother-in-law Pat.

She is survived by her husband Charles Redford, her children Jesse, Kris (Genny), Shannon, and Shauna (Brandon), her mother Lola Theodorsson, her sister Margret (John), her sisters-in-law Lois and Stephanie, and her brother-in-law Tim, her grandchildren Payton, Keyanna, and Kristinn Henderson, Ashley and Tyler Barnes, and Tristan, Landon and Brody Moeller, her nephews Kyle (Natalie, Isabella, and Jacob) and Derek, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in the United States and in her Native Country of Iceland.

Solrun lived an adventurous life and loved bringing joy to others. She is remembered for her giving heart and ability to brighten your day with a simple card that always ended with "I love you this much!" She will be missed by all those whom she knew, but her spirit lives on through those she loved.

There will be a graveside burial held with her loved ones at the Mount Vernon Cemetery on Friday June 28, 2013 at 11:00am.

At her request, her family and friends will gather for a celebration of her life in the near future.
