WILLARD SCHAUER Obituary

Willard R. Schauer, 83, of Sunnyside, WA passed away on Friday, April 25, 2011 in Sunnyside, WA.

Willard attended school in Wisconsin and later joined the Merchant Marines during WWII.

In June of 1948 he married Beverly Christenson in Wisconsin. The Schauer's made their home in Wisconsin until 1959 when they settled in western, Washington. In 2008 Willard and Beverly moved to Sunnyside, WA.

Willard worked in the farming and automotive industries. He enjoyed playing the trombone, big band music, gardening and cherished visits with family and friends.

Willard was an active member of the Edison Lutheran Church in Edison, WA.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Schauer of Sunnyside, WA; two sons, Ron Schauer (Sue) of Grandview, WA and Bob Schauer (Cindy) of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Vernon Schauer.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Leona Schauer, one brother, Glen Schauer, two grandsons, Brent Olander and Colby Schauer.

There will be no formal memorial service at this time.

Those wishing to honor Willard's memory may contribute to the Edison Lutheran Church in Edison, WA, Clear Lake Community Covenant Church in Clear Lake, WA or to the donor's choice.
