Peggy J. Rhoades passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 8, 1924 to Harry and Etta Bjerstedt on the family farm, Dukes hill area of Sedro Woolley. She grew up on that farm and graduated from Sedro Woolley High School, in 1944.

She married Chuck Rhoades on August 8th, 1944. Chuck and Peggy were married for 63 years when he passed. She was a homemaker; her life was her home and family! They enjoyed camping, traveling, and loved to dance! She also raised and bread Simmental cattle on their acreage, for meat and hobby.
They have three children, Sue Smith, Ron Rhoades, and Judy Schoonover. Five grandchildren, Shane Smith, Ashley Zodrow, Teresa Ferguson, Ryan Smith, and Russ Burns. They have 4 great-grandchildren. Peggy was a wonderful woman and Mother, she will be greatly missed.
Peggy will be buried in the family plot at the Mount Vernon Cemetery at 2pm on February 28th, at 2pm.
