Margaret (Peterson) Graff was born in Edison, on May 27th, 1917, to Glenn and Josephine (Loop) Frost. Her prayers were answered on Monday, June 9 as she passed on to her heavenly father from Prestige Care in Burlington.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was one of the few remaining Edison High School (1935) alumni and a lifelong member of Edison Lutheran Church.
She married Martin Peterson in Conway on Dec. 2nd 1939; they built their home in Bow on the Tollog Peterson family farm and lived there their entire lives.
She treasured her Edison Campfire Girl experiences, her membership in the LaConner Garden Club, the Rhododendron Club, the Allen Grange and was active in Politics. She struggled to keep the farm when Martin spent several years in a Seattle Tuberculosis Sanitarium. She worked and made lifelong treasured friends at Woolworths and then at Washington Farmers until they closed. She also worked for Northwest Orthopedic Surgeons, collected and sold antiques with her sister-in-law Teddy Hansen and dreamt of opening her own shop.
Margaret fell in love and shared many years of marriage (1991-2006) to lifelong friend Howard Graff.
If you knew Margaret you would agree she was conscientious and responsible. "Anything worth doing is worth doing Right". She was a-top of every moment, loved and loving, unselfish, hard working, devoted to friends and family, appreciative, courageous, determined, and was the model of "It is greater to give than receive", impossible to give to her without receiving a greater bounty in return. No debt or favors went unpaid.
Survived by daughter Jeanne (Mike) Youngquist, 3 grandchildren Chad (Tonya) Youngquist, Tyann (Mark) Schlimmer, & Derrick (Sadie) Youngquist, 3 step-daughters, Joyce Wiemerslage, Myrna (Ernie) Buchholz and Carol Howell, and grandchildren Dave Wiemerslage, Keith (Carol) Wiemerslage, Eric (Brenda) Wiemerslage, Darlene (Jim) Walters, Brian (Janet) Buchholz, Kathy (Bob) Somerville, Ed (Nora) Buchholz, Christy (Mark) Payton, Pat Howell, Dan (Dianna) Howell, granddaughter-in-law Patti Sands numerous great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law Betty Frost of California.
