Ann Beverly (Coffelt) Metz, 78, passed away peacefully July 16, 2014 at her lake-side home on Lake Campbell, Anacortes.
Ann leaves her husband, Donald Metz, sons James, Mickey & wife Kim, Curtis & wife Tracey, brothers Lynn Coffelt & Warren Coffelt, niece Kim Etlicher, husband JR, grandchildren Tyson, Kahlan, Phillip, Natasha, and great-grandchildren Christopher and Jeremiah.
She was preceded by her parents, Milo and Helen Coffelt and niece Karen Coffelt.
Ann was born in Anacortes, Wa., August 27, 1936, to Helen and Milo Coffelt.
Ann graduated from Anacortes High School in 1954. She trained as a Stenographer, and was living in Seattle where she met and married her Husband of 56 years, Donald Metz.
Ann and Don moved to West Virginia near Donald's Family after the birth of their first son. A year later they moved back to Anacortes where she and Don raised their family.
Ann was first and foremost a creative homemaker with the challenges of raising three boys, a husband and various farm animals. When the boys were older, she worked as a nurse's aide at local nursing homes.
Ann was a talented artist and crafts person. She loved to paint, macrame, knit, sew and create with other craft forms.
Later Ann loved to attend beading classes, where she could visit with her friends and create beautiful pieces of beaded jewelry.
Memorial service will be at Evans Funeral Chapel, 1105 32nd St. Anacortes, on Sunday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. A "Pot Luck" gathering will follow at Ann and Don's home at 5886 Campbell Lake Road, Anacortes.
