Our loving son Nathan DeWitt, 23, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a kind and gentle soul who brought joy to all who knew him.

Nathan was born in Mount Vernon, WA on April 26, 1989. He attended Viewcrest Christian School, Washington Elementary School, Laventure Middle School, and graduated from Mount Vernon Christian School in 2007. He then attended Skagit Valley and Whatcom Community Colleges. Nathan moved to Arizona in 2011, and worked for Starbucks in Phoenix at the time of his death.

Nathan's greatest love was yo-yoing, a talent that he perfected and shared with others since grade school. He was a passionate and gifted entertainer and won the Inaugural Pacific Northwest Yo-Yo Championship in 2005. Nathan loved performing for both young and old and often demonstrated his yo-yo skills at local events. His signature yo-yo trick was the "360 ear spin", which often captivated his audiences. Nathan also enjoyed spending time with his friends, snowboarding, skateboarding, boating and traveling with his family. He was an independent spirit who lived life to its fullest and was a genuine friend to many.

Nathan is survived by his mother: Sandra Corrion; stepfather: David Corrion; grandparents: Victor and Donna Fondy, Sandy Calderin, Jerry and Starleen Corrion; aunts and uncles: Carol (James) Fowler, Jeff (Jodi) Fondy, Brian (Kathy) Corrion and Shelley Stephens; cousins: Samantha Hoshin, Parker Fowler, Megan and Emma Fondy, Hank and Gracie Corrion, Lanie and Jayden Stephens; great aunts and uncles: Janice Ames, Phyllis Skurla, Larry (Kathy) Locken, Cherie Iverson and their families.

Nathan is also survived by his father: Richard Lyle DeWitt and his companion Tonya Goody of Phoenix and her son Jeremy Lopez; stepmother, Debbie DeWitt, brothers, Evan and Branson DeWitt, sister Janice DeWitt all of Renton, WA; paternal grandparents, Estill and Mary Pat DeWitt of Phoenix, AZ and Connie Wright of Claremore, OK, Aunts: Christi DeWitt (Arthur) of Phoenix and Kelli Whitehead (Darryl) of Rockwall, TX plus many cousins, great aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at His Place Community Church, 1480 South Burlington Blvd., Burlington, WA at 1:00 PM on Friday, Jan 4, 2013. An additional memorial service will be held in Phoenix, AZ at a later date.
