Willard Jarrells Sr., age 71, passed away August 4, 2013 at Skagit Valley Hospital with his family by his side on his 52nd wedding anniversary.

He was born December 30, 1941 to Goldie and Frank Jarrells in Wyoming County, West Virgnia.
He served in the Army May 5th, 1959 until August 1961 in the transportation Department at Ft. Eustis, Virginia.
He met Sharon Kolb at Ft. Eustus and they married in Elizabeth City North Carolina on August 4, 1961.
Willard worked in the Shake Mills of Skagit Valley for 25 years making roofing materials. In 1986 he started driving 18 wheelers until 2003 when he retired.
He was a musician, singing and playing electric bass guitar for dances and wedding receptions around the state.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Frank who died in 2009.
He is survived by his wife Sharon and his mother-in-law Doris Renno at the family home; son James (Rosemary) of Sedro Woolley; son Willard Jr. of Mount Vernon; 6 grandchildren Renee (Scott), Andrea (Daniel), Justin, Jordon, Frankie and Brandon; 4 great-grandchildren Dominick, Destini, Teia and Tessa; brother Hank (Marie); sisters Pearl (Jim), Imogene, Brenda, Dixie and Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
At his request no formal services will be held.
There will be a family gathering at Hank and Marie's Home Friday, August 9, 2013 at 6:00 pm.
