Usually they do...dear old friends...even when they haven't always been so dear !! LOL. Goodness, mate...you slipped out soo fast! Thank you for so many things, Made....especially for our times together in the early days in bali when we all had so much more time on our hands , and for each other. It was with great shock and sadness I heard of Made's passing.
I have a house in Sanur Bali and followed the postings of his visits ,of an early morning ,to the beach near his home. He really enjoyed his time there and was distressed when the area was to be commercialised.
I now very much regret I had not made the effort to rise early enough and taking the opportunity to go and meet this entertaining gentleman.

I saw this book - the best of Stranger in Paradise - whilst in Ubud, Bali on Sunday 28.8. I didn't buy it as it was too heavy to bring home. While searching for the book online the next day, I read of Made's passing and was so saddened by this news and the strange coincidence. I am now captivated by his life and desperately want to find a copy of the book in Australia. What an amazing life. Your light went out far too early. RIP Made. Sleep well.
