Charlotte G. Chillo Obituary
Charlotte G. Chillo, an altruistic woman, magnanimous in life, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Charlotte was born in Clintonville, Wisconsin, on May 17, 1919, to Raymond and Myrtle Lamb.
She met her future husband, Robert Chillo, in Chicago. Robert moved to San Diego where shortly thereafter, in 1941, Charlotte joined him and they married. They began a family enjoying the births of their four children. Charlotte held a wide interest in many areas. Her spirit and sense of adventure took her to many parts of the world including Mexico, Canada, Europe, China and Morocco.
Charlotte was a wonderful person with diverse professional and community interests encompassing investments, real estate and philanthropy. She loved dancing, sailing and finding ways to expand her mind. She was ahead of her time on the subjects of fitness and nutrition, always guiding her children and grandchildren to eat healthy including their "beauty" bread (wheat bread). Indeed, Charlotte was a proud, kind and independent woman with a generous heart.
She is survived by her four loving children, Ron Chillo, Jackie Walter, Karl Chillo and Karen Chillo-Williams. She was also known as "Abuela" by her two granddaughters, Natalie Chillo-Bradley and Jessica Chillo-Bradley who loved her very much.
In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations to the Elizabeth Hospice.
