Marilyn Racine Kravis

1940 - 2016

Marilyn Racine Kravis, age 76, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away Wednesday evening, September 14, 2016 at the Hospice of the EUP – Hospice House.
Marilyn was born on January 19, 1940 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the daughter of the late Percy and Racine (Aube) Elliott. On April 2, 1970, she married Michael ""Mickey"" Kravis in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was a member of the Elks Lodge #552 and the Moose Lodge #717.
Marilyn enjoyed traveling, staying at the camp ground, and going out to eat. She was a very social lady, who would lend a helping hand to anybody. She also enjoyed Karaoke night. Most of all, Marilyn loved to spend time with her family.
Marilyn is survived by her husband: ""Mickey"" Kravis; four children: Leighton (Laurie) Blasing of Chilton, WI, Loren Blasing (Esther Johnson)of Rudyard, MI, Mike (Marci) Kravis of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Percene Kravis (Dan Carnahan) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; 12 grandchildren: Joseph Kravis, Gary (Nicole) Kravis, Travis Kravis , Kalean Hopkins, Mike Blasing, Kevin Blasing, Ashley (Darren)Fisher, Scott (Hailey) Blasing, Bryant Fox, Michael Kravis, Nicholas Kravis, and Michaela Carnahan ; and many Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters: Lorraine (Blasing) Hopkins and Louanne Blasing; a granddaughter: Lorraine Ann Hopkins; and two brothers: William and Harry Elliott.
A memorial mass will be held at noon on Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Chenier as celebrant. Interment will be at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Hospice of the EUP.
