Alice Elizabeth Bobbitt

1943 - 2017

Alice Elizabeth Bobbitt, age 74, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Long Term Care Unit of War Memorial Hospital after a long 8 year battle with Dementia.
Alice was born on July 26, 1943 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She graduated from Sault High with the class of 1961. On May 7,1964 she married Earl Bobbitt in St. Louis, Missouri. Later in life, Alice graduated from LSSU earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Vocational Education. She worked as a Typist/Office Assistant at Chippewa Regional Correctional Facility. Alice was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling to places like Ireland, Scotland, and Italy. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, and also enjoyed going to West Pier with her grandson Jordan.
Alice is survived by her two daughters: Stacey (Travis) Smith of Thessalon, Ontario and Michele (Korey) Lavigne of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; four grandchildren: Nicholas (Madeline) Smith, Joshua Smith, Jordan Lavigne, and Jarred Lavigne; one great grandchild is to be born the end of January; and a companion: Dino Chilelli of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She is also survived by three sisters: Ann (Clarence) Lougheed of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Sally Brown of Florida, and Barbara (Steven) Wyatt of Grass Lake, MI; and a brother: Andrew Brown of Mississippi.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband: Earl Bobbitt; her father: Wallace Brown; and two brothers: David Brown and William Harrer.
Per her wishes there will be no public services. There will be a private family burial in the spring.
