LAPORTE - Jack Elbert Loop, 53, of LaPorte, passed away peacefully at 11:15 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014, at Indiana University Health LaPorte Hospital. On July 12, 1960, in LaPorte, IN, he was born to Robert Wayne and Marion "Sally" (Warner) Loop. Jack enjoyed working on old muscle cars. He was a collector of hot wheels and model cars. Jack was a NASCAR fan. He loved his chocolate milk and pudding. Surviving are his lifelong companion, Brenda Murray; one son, Joshua Loop of LaPorte; three sisters, Becky (Ron) Beebe of Battle Creek, MI, Sarah (Robert) Wardlow of LaPorte and Joni (Chip) Robb of New Carlisle; four brothers, Robert D. Loop, Richard (Edna) Loop and Bill (Debra) Loop, all of LaPorte, and Paul (Roxanna) Loop of New Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, and one brother, Walter Loop. A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., LaPorte, (219) 362-3100, with Pastor Dan McDonald officiating. Visitation and viewing will be from 9 a.m. until time of service.
