SOUTH BEND - Rita J. Jun, 89, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 31, 2013. She was a longtime member of the Christ Child Society, where she lovingly created layettes and made more than 100 angel layettes for deceased babies in area hospitals. She enjoyed sewing for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She made dresses, "busy books," Christmas stockings and ornaments, and created annually an entire wardrobe for a Barbie Doll for St. Vincent de Paul's Christmas drive. Don, I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. I'm kind of under the weather and don't want to come around feeling like this, so please forgive me for not being at the visitation. She was a lovely lady and I'm sure she will be missed. You take care of yourself and know that she's at peace.

I remember Mrs. Jun as a good lady who always had it together. Memories on Prast Blvd and Elmer St. will always be with me. Those days are part of who I am.
