Chrystal Marie Reyes April 29, 1991 - Mar. 16, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Chrystal Marie Reyes, 23, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015. Chrystal was born April 29, 1991 in Palm Springs to Hector Reyes and Dora Gonzalez. Survivors of Chrystal include her parents, along with her children, Jesse Gonzalez and Julian Gonzalez of South Bend; grandmothers, Maria T. Gonzalez of Los Angeles, CA and Consuelo Ramires of Ontario, CA; sisters, Priscilla (Tony Guzman) Reyes of South Bend and Melissa (Eddie Gonzalez) Gonzalez of South Bend; brothers, Brandon Reyes of South Bend and Joseph Reyes of South Bend; uncles, Freddy (Stella) Gonzalez of South Bend, Tony (Cindy) Gonzalez of Azusa, CA, Juan (Lupe) Gonzalez of Los Angeles, CA, Ezequiel (Roselia) Reyes of Fontana CA, Emiliano (Yolanda) Reyes of Fontana, CA and Jose Reyes of Fontana, CA; and aunts, Sandra Chavez of Los Angeles, CA, Maria Gonzalez of Los Angeles, CA, Maura Reyes of Rialto, CA, Medelia (Enrique) Garcia of Ontario, CA and Maria Carmen Montanez of Indio, CA; she is also survived by nieces and nephews, Briella, Aiden and Anthony; and numerous extended friends and family. Chrystal was a Manager at Taco Bell. She enjoyed listening to music and singing with her children. Visitation for Chrystal will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 26, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, March 27, 2015 in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Ann L. Rose Jan. 29, 1939 - March 24, 2015 BUCHANAN - Ann Louise Rose, age 76, of South Bend, formerly of Buchanan, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at home. She was born January 29, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Alvin K. & Beatrice Greene Coger. On August 29th, 1959, at First United Methodist Church in Buchanan, she married Gene Rose, who survives along with a daughter: Stacy (Mark) Eaton of Tallahassee, FL. And one son: Scott (Christine) Rose of Geneva, IL. And two grandchildren: Brandon & Amada Rose. Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin K. Coger Jr. A service celebrating her life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28th, at First United Methodist Church, 132 S. Oak St. in Buchanan. Pastor Rob McPherson will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. A time to visit will be on Friday, March 27th, from 6-8 p.m., also at First United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Ann had many interests and many varied work experiences in her lifetime. She was extremely proud of the fact that she had driven school bus sixteen years for the Buchanan School District, and that she had been an executive secretary for three different pastors at the First United Methodist Church in Henderson, N.C. Ann had also been employed for a period of time with the US Postal Service. She held memberships in Friends of Oak Ridge Cemetery, The Buchanan Women of the Moose, and belonged to the Berrien County Genealogy Society, as well being a licensed private pilot. Rouch, Leonald J.  
Leonald J. Rouch Oct. 7, 1944 - Mar. 26, 2015 PLYMOUTH - Leonald "Lee" J. Rouch, 70, of Plymouth, went to be with the Lord at 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 26, 2015 in Bremen Community Hospital, Bremen. Lee was born on October 7, 1944 in Mishawaka, the son of the late Marion and Catherine (Schutz) Rouch. On September 4, 1964, he married Kay Yoder. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay of Plymouth; two daughters, Shalice (Al) Northrop of Marcellus, MI and Stephanie (Brian) Schrome of Bremen; six grandchildren, Courtney, Cory, Nicole, Kelly, Dylan and Justin and two great grandchildren, Brylee and Brantly. He is also survived by a sister, Charlene Beery of Bremen. Lee graduated from Bremen and worked as a Brick Mason for many years. He retired from Casteel in 2007. He will be remembered for his love of farming, boating, fishing, riding snowmobiles and hunting coyote. He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 4 of Indiana and Kentucky-South Bend Chapter. Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, March 29, 2015 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 30, 2015 in the funeral home with Pastor Ben Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. Rouch, Mary  
Mary Rouch June 24, 1924 - March 27, 2015 GOSHEN - Mary F. Rouch, 90, died Friday evening at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born June 24, 1924, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Marquis and Mary (Herron) Willey. She married Robert Louis Rouch in Elkhart on Oct. 12, 1944. Survivors include four sons, Stan (Carrol) Rouch, Georgetown, Ken., Ed (Misty) Rouch, North Liberty, Robert Rouch, Applevalley, Calif., and Mark (Maureen) Rouch, Hurst, Texas; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Louis Rouch in 1974; her parents; and three brothers, Henry, Frank, and twin brother, Ray. Mrs. Rouch volunteered at IU Health Goshen Hospital and was a member of the Brandywine High School Booster Club. She retired from Taylor Products. A Thursday memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Dolores F. Rux July 29, 1935 - March 20, 2015 FORT MYERS, FL - Dolores F. Rux, 79, of Fort Myers, Florida, and formerly of South Bend, Indiana, passed away March 20, 2015. Taylor "Babe" Sallee Aug. 6, 1938 - March 26, 2015 NILES - Taylor LeRoy "Babe" Sallee, 76, of Niles, MI, born August 6, 1938, passed away on March 26, 2015, in South Bend, IN, from natural causes. Taylor married Sally Lynn (Roberts) Smith on October 31, 1973. Salley preceded him in death on January 10, 1993. Taylor "Babe" and Sally are survived by two sons, Steven Sallee and Bradley Sallee, both of Niles, MI; stepchildren, Ronald Smith of South Bend, IN, and Sheila Riffel of Niles, MI; brothers, John (Patricia) Sallee of Fort Wayne, IN, Cecil Sallee of MI, Bill Sallee of Niles, MI, Verne (Beverly) VanSandt of Niles, MI, Rex (Linda) VanSandt of Niles, MI, and Jim Snyder of Niles, MI; 3 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife, Doris (Bush) Sallee. Taylor married Doris on August 6, 1994. Taylor loved fishing, watching football and auto racing, and listening to country music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor VanSandt and Neva Illiff; brothers, Eugene Sallee of Florida, Garry Sallee of Niles, MI, and Richard "Dick" VanSandt of Niles, MI. Sasaki, William  
William Sasaki July 6, 1921 - March 18, 2015 EAU CLAIRE - William K. Sasaki, 93, of Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. He was born July 6, 1921, in Florin, California, the son of Seichi and Miyaki (Iwasa) Sasaki. Following high school graduation, he served his country with the United States Army during WW II. He had been an area resident for the past 65 years. He was employed by Ford Motor Company, working as a salesman and a certified auto mechanic, and he was also a master electrician. Survivors include three daughters: Mary Ann (Brian) Donovan, Nancy Sasaki (Tom) and Florence Sasaki; two grandchildren, Andrea (Matthew) Phillips and William Donovan; a sister, Alice Matsushima of Chicago; and a brother, Sam Sasaki of Switzerland. He was preceded in death on January 13, 2014, by his wife, Muriel, whom he married on February 20, 1949, in Benton Harbor. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, with inurnment at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Wanda M. Scheittecatte Aug. 9, 1931 - March 19, 2015 ELKHART - Wanda M. Scheittecatte, 83, of Elkhart, died Thursday, March 19, 2015. The Spadra, Arkansas, native was born August 9, 1931, to Frank O. and Beatrice (Westover) Shain, who have preceded her in death. Wanda had retired from Uniroyal and was an avid sports enthusiast & Notre Dame fan, who truly enjoyed her family, grandchildren and also her cat, Tommy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Amos D. Clay-born; her second husband, Charles R. Scheitte-catte; her son, Mike Clayborn; 5 sisters and 1 brother. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Patricia Clayborn of Osceola and Shelia (Mark) Keyser of Elkhart; daughter-in-law, Nancy Geegan of Niles, MI; sister, Helen Sanders of Clarksville, AR; grandchildren, Karen Clayborn of Lagrange, GA, Lori (Brian) Carey of Fallbrook, CA, Ron (Amanda) Betzer, Amy (Rod) Bracker & Stephani Sanders, all of Elkhart, and Kelli (Judy) Neblett-Sanders of Delray Beach, FL; and 6 great-grandchildren. Schmidt, Harry  
Harry Schmidt Jan. 7, 1931 - March 24, 2015 CASSOPOLIS - Harry Schmidt, age 84, of Cassopolis, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, in Clark Retirement Home in Grand Rapids. He was born January 7, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, the only child of Harry and Viola (Falkenthal) Schmidt. He married Lydia Jean Sparks June 14, 1971, in Penn Township. She preceded him in death. Harry was a lifelong learner who enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and history. Harry will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jon Bull of Grand Rapids; two grandchildren, Liam Carsten Bull and Eleanor Jean Bull; four brothers-in-law and their wives, James and Jeanne Sparks of Fenton, Lee and Mariko Sparks of Cassopolis, Glen and Nancy Sparks of Fremont, Carl and Dawn Sparks of Cassopolis; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather Saturday, March 28, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Casso-polis. Mr. Schmidt will be laid to rest beside his wife, Jean, in Prairie Grove Cemetery in Penn Township.
