Jonathan Godley Oct. 25, 1969 - Oct. 17, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Jonathan "Jon Boy" Dewane Godley, 45, of South Bend, formerly of Kokomo, left us early Saturday morning, October 17, 2015, at his residence to be with the Lord. Jon Boy was born on October 25, 1969, to Philip John Godley and Rosey Lettia Brown in South Bend, Indiana. Jonathan was passionate about his drawings and passing them along to his children. He enjoyed playing chess with his cup of coffee in the mornings. Jonathan spent time assembling and painting vintage model cars and working on his own cars. Jon Boy leaves behind his wife, Rebecca Godley of South Bend; and his children, Rachel Godley, of Kokomo, Grandin Godley, Philip Godley, Jonathan Godley, Rob Eby and Dylan Griffin, all of Mishawaka. He is also survived by his brothers, James Segars, Issac Segars, Robert Segars, Philip Segars, Rex Ernsperger, Roy Ernsper-ger, all of Mishawaka, South Bend area; and a sister, Ruby Kerr, of Oregon. Jonathan has one granddaughter, Stella Rose Godley. (daughter of Grandin Godley and Renea McAllise) Jonathan was a big Green Bay Packers fan. He was very into football, baseball, and basketball played by his hometown team, Notre Dame, having personally met many of their players. He enjoyed watching and playing hockey. Jonathan spent a lot of his time outside fishing with his family and friends. If Jon was outdoors, he was at home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose; his sister, Kathleen Marie Godley; and both grandparents, Grandin Godley and Virginia Godley. Jonathan leaves behind his father, Philip Godley, and stepmother, Mary Lou Godley of Mishawaka. Jonathan will have a celebration of life on Friday, October 23, 2015, in South Bend, Indiana, located at the Doulos Chapel, 608 S. Saint Joseph Street. Family and friends will both gather at 10 a.m.
