MISHAWAKA - Carol M. Boocher, 91, of Mishawaka, passed away in the Golden Living Center in Elkhart on Thursday morning. Carol was born in Mishawaka on July 12, 1921, to the late Roscoe & Edith K. (Kinneman) Meyers. On Dec. 24, 1938, she married Raymond E. Boocher, who preceded her in death in 1989. Carol was employed at Uni-Royal for 38 years. She attended the Cedar Road Missionary Church. Carol is survived by her children, Ruth "Sue" (Tom) Atherton of Mishawaka, Judy (Jim) Bowers of Mishawaka, Jerry (Debbie) Boocher of Elkhart, Robert (Ellie) Boocher and Peggy (Bill) Koontz, all of Osceola; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her siblings, Edith (Elmer) Niver of Mishawaka, Phillip Meyers of Mishawaka, George Meyers of Granger and Sharon (Tom) Ewing of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deloris Boocher, a son, Donald Boocher, and 3 grandsons, Scott and Gary Boocher, and Stephen Atherton. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 8th, from 4 until 8 pm in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. A service celebrating Carol's life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 9th, in the Cedar Road Missionary Church, 56907 Cedar Road, Mishawaka, with Pastor Jeff Truex officiating. Burial is to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to either the Cedar Road Missionary Church or to the Gospel Center Missionary Church Building Fund.
