Harold Wiseman

Harold Wiseman Sept. 21, 1918 - July 8, 2014 ELKHART - Harold Wayne Wiseman, 95, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Greenleaf Living Center. Harold was born September 21, 1918, to Raymond H. and Alta M. (Ross) Wiseman in South Bend. On April 12, 1941, Harold married Jean F. Marble. She preceded him in death on November 23, 1978. He later married Ruth Eugenia (Smith) Campagnoli on October 13, 1979 in Elkhart. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2012. He is survived by children, Larry E. Wiseman (Wanda), Kansas City, MO, Daniel R. Wiseman (Sharon), Palatine, IL, Nancy J. Lerner, Osceola, Gary H. Wiseman (April), Menlo Park, CA; Step sons, Phillip Campagnoli and Dr. Steven Campagnoli, Elkhart, Jerold Campagnoli, Prior Lake, MN; 6 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Earl R. Wiseman. He was a graduate of Greene Township High School in 1936 and South Bend College of Commerce in 1937. He was formerly employed by NYC RR in management and Stationmaster at Elkhart. He was a former Vice President and Secretary Shultz Realty. Former Vice President and Treasurer South Bend Federal S&L and Branch Manager Elkhart. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1943. Formerly on Administrative Board and other offices since 1957. Former member Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and a former treasurer of Bashor Home Board of Directors, Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, Chairman State and County Tax Committees; Past President City Music Parents organization, Mary Feeser PTA, Treasurer Osolo Little League. Harold was also a former member of the Orak Shrine; current member Scottish Rite and Tyrian Lodge, Elkhart; 4 Lakes Country Club. Harold proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and fought in the battle of the Bulge and received many combat medals before earning his honorable discharge in 1946. He enjoyed following professional and college sports as well as playing golf. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service, Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church.
