Lovell K Martz
My MHS Classmate

I Well remember how Don & Enid Martz made me feel welcome in their home the first time I was there.
Enid simply said "Any Friend Of Lovell Is A Friend Of Mine"

My Heart & Prayers Goes Out To Lila,
To Sons Knolan (Kim), Daniel, Dana And Loren.
To You Twelve Grands
and To You 6 Great Grands
I Know That You
Nancy, Donna & Aaron
are going to miss your brother very much.
Lovell's and my MHS lockers were next to each other for 4 years.
We were in the stage crew, glee club, cinema club and Ms Koch's choir together.
We rode to school to MHS together.
I am 3 months older than Lovell and he got his learner's permit at '15 1/2', then he would drive his 1939 Chevy to my house on W Grove Street so I could ride to MHS with him as the Licensed Driver.
I cherish memories of his visits to our mission church in Hammond in his Yellow Olds Convertable (also Nancy & Donna's visits via the South Shore Train)
My Friend Lovell was groomsman in my 1957 Wedding

I remember our AWCF Dinners and our last visit with Lovell and his uncle David at the restaurant in South Bend.
I WILL MISS YOU MY LIFETIME FRIEND ~" RIP

Lovell Martz as our orchestra director was always encouraging, creative, inspiring, and kind. In over 35 years, I never saw him upset at any one of us. He was a great leader with a servant's heart.
