Ruby M. Amor

PLYMOUTH - Ruby M. Amor, age 82, of 8282 Rose Road, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Ruby was born on March 15, 1930, in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, to Gordon and Dorothy (Stover) Lent. On October 23, 1989, Ruby became the bride of Leo E. Amor. Leo preceded Ruby in death on March 4, 2000. Ruby worked many years for Vic's Laundromat. She was the past president of the Eagle's Lodge, a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. She was an active member of the V.F.W. Ruby enjoyed quilting and needlepoint and had made many beautiful handmade items for her family and friends. Ruby's greatest joy was her family. She will be sadly missed. Ruby is survived by her son, Richard "Dick" Piper of Plymouth; daughter, Donna Eggert of Bremen, Indiana; daughter, Jenny Ames of Lakeland, Florida; son, George Piper of Plymouth; sister, Barbara (Max) Nemeth of Mauldin, South Carolina; brother, Harold "Butch" (Yvonne) Lent of Sidney, Indiana; sister-in-law, Gloria Lent of Nappanee, Indiana; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leo E. Amor; her brothers, Stanely Lent, Jerry Lent, and William Lent; her sister, Marjorie Bell; and her grandson, Lawrance "Alan" Lester. Memorials may be given to: Plymouth V.F.W. Post #1162, 606 Lake Avenue, Plymouth, Indiana 46563. Visitation is Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563. Services are Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, with Sister Joan Scott officiating. Burial will take place at Tyner Cemetery in Tyner, Indiana.
