OAKWOOD IL - Vicky Valene Connell, 68, passed away on Thursday, April 27 in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Vicky was born on July 30, 1948 in Mishawaka, to Virgil B. and Doris M. (Keene) Houck. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dennis K. Houck.
She married Bill Connell on October 9, 1992. Surviving are her husband Bill; daughter, Teresa Bollenbacher; son, Dean Bollenbacher; their father, Dale Bollenbacher; stepchildren, Lisa and Michael; sister-in-law, Sharon (Rice) Houck; brother, Terry B. Houck; and grandchildren, Derek, Deana, Drew, Haiden, Kayla and Justin.
Vicky worked for 1st Illinois Credit Union in the IT department. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels; she played piano and organ for her church, was a member of Corner Stone Quartet, and was also a seamstress of a bridal shop.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 2 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home where visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
