Chad Michael Keckler July 23, 1971 - March 12, 2014 GOSHEN - Chad Michael Keckler, 42, Goshen, Indiana, formerly of Carey, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, after a courageous two-year battle with lung and brain cancer. Born in Findlay, Ohio on July 23, 1971, he is the son of Lester H. "Buster" Keckler and the late Linda K. (Ewing) Wilson Keckler. His father survives in Carey. He married Darla M. (Rippee) Thiel in Septem-ber, 2004 in Carey, Ohio, she survives in Goshen, Indiana. Also surviving are two children, Jessica and Josh Thiel, both at home, a sister, Lindsay M. (Joshua) Ritter, Carey, two step brothers, Ryan (Monica) Price, Republic, Rich (Christine) Hotelling, Findlay, a sister-in-law, Mandy Phillips-Keckler, four aunts; Peggy (Mike) Mundy, Barb Caudill and Angie Balderson, Mary Ellen (Isadore) McLaugh-lin and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Chad was preceded in death by a sister, Leslie R. Keckler, a brother, Brad D. Keckler, paternal grandparents, Lester Harrison, Sr. and Ethel (Barnett) Keckler, mater-nal grandparents; Richard and Rose Janet (Troiano) Ewing. Chad was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church, Carey. A 1990 graduate of Arcadia High School, he was a U.S. Air Force Vet-eran of Desert Shield and served two tours in Saudi Arabia. He worked as a FAA transportation Grounds Electronics Spe-cialist from 2001-2013 servicing all airports in Northern Indiana. He had previously worked at IT Corporation in Findlay from 1997-2001. Chad was an OSU Buckeye Fan. He was a true family man. Friends and family will be received on Friday, March 14, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at STOM-BAUGH-BATTON FU-NERAL HOME, Carey. Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Stom-baugh-Batton Funeral Home with Rev. Florian Tiell, OFM Conv. officiat-ing. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, with military graveside rites being conducted by Carey Honor Guard. In memory of Chad, memorials may be made to Chad M.
