I recently learned of Danny's passing and I write this with a heavy heart. Although, I have not seen Danny in many years, it saddens me to think there will be no chance encounters or happy reunions.
Danny was an exciting, engaging, intense, dynamic young man and he was a big part of my young life. I have many fond memories of him, most notably, his passion for singing. He sang songs of several artists, including Elvis, Marty Robbins, but his favorite was his idol Buddy Holly. I know all of Buddy Holly's songs because he sang them to me through the course of our on and off again relationship and they seemed to fit exactly what was going on at the time right down to our last date when we were both singing "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" (but, somehow, it did).
I've thought of him often throughout the years and several years ago when the play "Buddy Holly" came to town I wanted to contact him to tell him about the play but his number was not listed in the phone book. Now, he will have his chance to meet Buddy in heaven and they will ROCK!
My condolences to the family for your great loss.

I would like to express my sincerest sympathies to Dan's family. He was such a great guy. I got to know him at Ivy Tech as he worked security. He had such a wonderful sense of humor and was very conscientious about his job. He is deeply missed. Melanie Micozzi (South Bend)

I didn't know Dan well at all but he certainly loved to "rib" me and my second year students about staying past the building closing time while we worked on our research project. Such a kind, gentle soul and I now wished that I would have had the opportunity to know him better.. I will miss him. God bless you all and know that "He is Risen." Shannon and the rest of the family. I had the pleasure of getting to know Dan while working at Ivy Tech. He was a familiar fixture every day I walking in and usually walked to my biology room to open it for me every wednesday. I felt like he was friend as we got to know each other over the years. In fact, he would make me late sometimes if I asked how you and your wife were doing. He would go on and on about you and the business. He was so proud of you.
I was shocked when I got the email through Ivy Tech about his passing. I remember talking to him the last day on campus before moving to florida.
He was a wonderful individual and great man. I know you know that. You have my sincere sympathies on his passing. He will be missed.

My sincere thoughts and prayers to Danny's family. We all grew up here in the neighborhood together. And I had the pleasure of working with Danny at Ivy Tech. He will be missed by many. May God be with his family thru this time in their lives. He often talked of his trips that he would take with his buddies, that is something that he really enjoyed. And he dotted over his grandchildren something that he cherished. May you rest in peace my friend. God Bless.
