NORTH LIBERTY - Donald H. Grzeskowiak, 69, of North Liberty, IN, passed away at 5:16 AM on Tuesday, October 23rd, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN, after an extended illness. Mr. Grzeskowiak was born on April 5, 1943, in South Bend, and resided in the area his entire lifetime. On December 16, 2005, he married Christine L. Smith, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mandy S. Grzeskowiak of Ohio, Kristin M. Vollbrecht of San Antonio, Texas, and LeAnn R. (Christopher) Murray of Elkhart, IN; three loving grandchildren whom he loved; a sister, Barbara H. (Joseph) Odynski of South Bend, and a brother, Dennis J. (Sandi) Grzeskowiak of Plymouth, Indiana. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Don worked as a maintenance mechanic at Logan Center, South Bend Waste Water Treatment Plant and Wheelabrator's in Mishawaka, IN. His hobbies were antique cars, cars in general, hunting, fishing, and being with family. Don was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1961. Visitation hours will be from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Friday, October 26th, at Hanley and Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road / Indiana 23, South Bend. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 27th, in the funeral home, with Rev. Chuck Herman officiating. Burial to follow at Porter-Rae Cemetery (Potato Creek State Park) North Liberty, IN. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy to the Grzeskowiak family.
