MISHAWAKA - Dorothy Lee Napoli, 90, residing in Mishawaka, passed away at 2:00 am Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Hospice House of South Bend. She was born December 27, 1922, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Leo L. and Agnes J. (Wagstaff) Piper. On July 5, 1947, in St. Louis, she married Dominic Napoli, who preceded her in death on October 6, 1991. She was also preceded by her sister, Jane Devita; and brothers, Jack and Lee Piper. Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald L. and Norma Napoli of Granger; three grandchildren, Kristy Bruins of Lexington, KY, Laura Napoli of Novi, MI, and Donna Napoli-Jazayeri of San Jose, CA; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan & Andrew Bruins and Laila & Zara Jazayeri. Dorothy was a volunteer in the gift shop at St. Joseph Hospital and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for 22+ years. She was also a member of the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary as well as the DeAmici Club of Mishawaka and attended St. Bavo Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am Friday, August 2, 2013, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN, where friends may visit one hour prior to Mass. Graveside services and burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Dorothy may be donated to the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, 5215 Holy Cross Pkwy,, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
