SOUTH BEND - Henry "Hank" Adams, 76, also known as "Big Foot," passed away suddenly Sunday, October 27th, at his residence. Hank was born on October 24, 1937, in Battle Creek, MI, to the late Willard and Mabel (French) Adams. On March 21, 1971, in South Bend, IN, he married Rita L. Maier, who survives. He was a Michiana area resident for 40 years, coming from Chicago, IL. Hank was an Independent Sales Rep. for several companies and was still employed and working up until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Adams, and a sister, Mary Adams. Hank was a very spiritual man and was very active in Prison Ministries, Crime to Christ, Kairos and God Squad. He was also a former member of Morris Park Country Club. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and golfing. Hank will be dearly missed by his loving wife Rita, his church family, and numerous friends he made during his life's journey. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. Friends and family may call on Sunday, November 3rd, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/State Road 23, South Bend. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 4th, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Ben Norton officiating. PLEASE in lieu of flowers the family request all memorial contributions be made to Crime to Christ, Kairos or God's Squad in care of New Beginnings Community Fellowship Church, 19688 Kern Road, South Bend, IN 46614. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Adams family.
