Dec. 8, 1942 - Nov. 19, 2013 WALKERTON - James McKinley Calentine Sr., 70, of Walkerton, IN, passed away at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at his home. He was born on December 8, 1942, in Mishawaka, IN, to John Calentine Sr. and Martha (Smith) Calentine-Thompson. On July 5, 2002, in Mishawaka, he married Elenna Borton, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Martha Calentine-Thompson of Mishawaka; 3 daughters, Monica Graham of Walkerton, Crystal Graham of Shelby, MI, Laurie Linton of Pennsylvania; 3 sons, Jimmy Jr. (Clair) Calentine of Elkhart, Bobby (Sandy) Calentine of Mishawaka, Cary Calentine of Mishawaka; 1 sister, Billie Nash of Mishawaka; 1 brother, Bill Calentine of Mishawaka; & 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, John Calentine Sr., 1 brother, John Calentine Jr., and 1 sister, Betty J. Short. James retired from the R.V. industry; he was a member of the S.A.L. American Legion Post 189 in Walkerton. He enjoyed deer hunting and mushroom hunting, and most of all loved his deer camp and all his friends. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
