LAKEVILLE - Joseph William Horvath, 58, residing in Lakeville, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at home. He was born in South Bend on October 30, 1954 to the late Emil Horvath and Irene Janette (Smith) McPherson, who survives in South Bend. Joseph is also survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Messana of Chicago and Nicole (James) Cutler of South Bend; one son, Arn Messana of South Bend; and one granddaughter, Mila Cutler. Additionally, he is survived by sisters, Kathleen Horvath of South Bend and Maryann Kniffen of Chugiac, AK; and brothers, Patrick of Honolulu, HI, Francis of Lakeville, Thomas of Decatur, MI, John of Plymouth, Matthew of Edwardsburg, MI and James of South Bend. Joseph was a self-employed construction worker and a lifelong area resident. He was a member of the American Legion in Lakeville and was a local Harley Davidson rider. Joseph was also an avid Chicago Bears fan, who truly loved the game. Memorial services for Joseph will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2013 in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 pm until the time of services on Sunday in the funeral home.
