LOGANSPORT - Miriam Wardlow, 89, of Logansport and formerly of Mishawaka and Madison, Indiana passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at 8:25 AM at Millers Merry Manor in Logansport. Born January 26, 1924, in South Bend, she was the daughter of the late Albert Absalom and Elvena Belle (Miller) Stevens. On December 12, 1942, in Mishawaka, she married Willis L. "Bill" Wardlow, who preceded in death on May 30, 2013. Miriam was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a 1942 graduate of Mishawaka High School and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Logansport. For many years, she was active at Madison Presbyterian Church, serving in many roles, including financial secretary. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Kelley of Logansport & Susan (Norman) Criss of Louisville, KY; one son, Jon (Dianna) Wardlow of Columbus, IN; two grandsons, Patrick Kelley of Lafayette and Scott (Kandice) Criss of Shepherdsville, KY; four granddaughters, Julie (Benjamin) Flanagan of Independence, KY, Beth (Richard) Stumpf of Springfield, OH, Amy Wardlow and Sarah Wardlow, both of Bloomington, IN; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Miriam was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 at noon in the Gundrum Funeral Home, with Rev. Doug Mankell officiating. A private burial will be held in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Mishawaka. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
