Patsy Wheeler Obituary

NEW CARLISLE - Patsy Lou (Jones) Wheeler, 74, of New Carlisle, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born February 10, 1937, in Waterbury, CT, to the late Alfred Beal and Madalyn (McMillin) Ashmore. She is survived by her daughters, Deb (Bob) Holcomb of New Carlisle, Sandy (Tom) Byrum of Elverta, CA, and Becky (Edward) Haney of Fort Worth, TX; her sons, James (Cathy) Banes Jr. of Amarillo, TX, Raymond "Dale" (Rose) Jones of New Carlisle, Ted Jones Sr. of Waupon, WI, and Kenny (Shirley) Jones of New Carlisle; 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: twin sister, Nancy DuCharm of Kankakee, IL, and oldest sister, Barbara Winns of Rockford, IL. She is also survived by her adopted daughters, Jenny Wilson and Betty Arndt, an adopted son, Robert Mattasits, and by numerous nieces and nephews. She worked as an Osteopathic Hospital obstetrics nurse. Patsy was a member of the Eastern Star, and an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post #297, New Carlisle, and the V.F.W. of Rolling Prairie, IN. Funeral services for Patsy will be held at 1 pm (South Bend time) Thursday, March 3, 2011, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle, where friends may visit for two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery. I wish Ted & I could have made it to the funeral, but we would like to send our prayers and condolences to the family, and to let you all know that we love you!! Pat was a wonderful woman who will be missed dearly by all who loved her.....

I was so sorry To here that you mom Pass away she was a great women and a good friend to me over the past 32 Years and I will miss her ,she was like a mother to me our Prayers go to you and your family . I wont be able to come up but know that you all are in my prayers God bless .

HI Deb and Family, So sorry to read about your Mom and Grandmother. She led a good life and i know she will be missed. I am in Florida right now so will not be able to be present but ou all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
