MISHAWAKA - Phyllis J. Schosker, 79, of Cedar Road, Osceola, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital following an illness. She was born in Mishawaka on December 15th, 1933 to Arthur and Helen (Hans) Speckman who preceded her in death along with a daughter, Debbie Grunden. As Phyllis Speckman, she married Elwood N. Schosker, who also preceded her in death on July 18, 2012. Phyllis was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Mishawaka and was active in the Ladies Guild, The Sewing Ladies of St. Peter's and was also involved as a greeter at the church where she loved to work the church dinners. She loved camping, collecting stuffed bears, yard sales, euchre club and dancing with her husband. She retired from Martin's supermarkets after many years of service working in the Deli. She is survived by her three children: Doug (Nina) Schosker of Osceola, Lori (Jim) Adams of Mishawaka and Mike Schosker of Mishawaka. A son-in law, Dan Grunden of North Liberty, also survives. Twelve grandchildren: Melisa DeBroka, Monica Rigley, Jacob Grunden, Joshua Grunden, Brian Schosker, Nick Schosker, Haley Bodle, Kaitlyn Adams, Kyle Cline, Kayne Cline, Michael Schosker and Tammy McClellan. Thirteen great grandchildren: Aryal Morales, Amada Perez, Ricko Perez, Alice Grunden, Lily Grunden, Caleb Grunden, Chase Schosker, Logan Bodle, Keygan Cline, Kentin Cline, Julian McClellan and Alec McClellan. One great great grandchild: Luis Trevino III. A brother, Jerry Speckman survives with a sister, Joyce Gaugler along with her son-in-law: Dan Grunden of North Liberty. Funeral services for Phyllis will be held at 10:30am on Monday, December 16th at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 437 East Dragoon Trail, Mishawaka. Friends will be received from 3 until 7pm on Sunday at Bubb Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow the services Monday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
