MISHAWAKA - Mr. Israel "Rocky" Amador, age 71, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012, of natural causes at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN. Rocky was born June 28, 1941, to the late Augustine and Juanita (Rodriquez) Amador. Rocky is survived by his son, Rocco (Maria) Amador of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Cortney Lyn Amador of Mishawaka, IN; stepson, Sgt. Michael (Mary) Lyczynski of New Carlisle, IN; granddaughter, Amber (Paul) Barnes of Mishawaka, IN; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; five sisters, Amy Amador, Alice Amador, Abigail Amador, Annette (Joe) Briones, all of Tucson, AZ, and Adele (Joe) Almaguer of West Laco, TX; five brothers, Anthony Amador of Baytown, TX, Armondo (Mita) Amador of Tucson, AZ, Arnulfo Amador and Arthur (Sharon) Amador, both of Lafayette, IN, and Alexander Amador of Mishawaka, IN. Rocky was preceded in death by a brother, Alonzo "Porky" Amador. He will also be remembered by many loved ones; in particular, Cindy Amador, the mother of Rocky's children - Cortney and Michael. Rocky was a loving brother, father, uncle and grandfather. He retired from Power Brake and Spring in 2003. He was an avid bowler in his younger years and especially enjoyed picking on his many nieces and nephews. Rocky religiously watched old-time Western movies and collected Western memorabilia. Visitation will be held at Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, IN, on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., along with a brief prayer service.
