MISHAWAKA - Ruby L. (Hamman) Tschida-Trimboli-Herrmann, 86, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 17, 2014, surrounded by her family. Ruby was born July 17, 1927, in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Pearl and Rachel (Warren) Hamman. She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and a life-long resident of Mishawaka. She attended IUSB. Ruby was a volunteer at the Battell Center in Mishawaka and a member of TOPS. She loved to travel and had the pleasure of visiting the Hawaiian Islands more than once and spent six weeks in Germany. Ruby also enjoyed Las Vegas and Lake Havasu, Arizona. She was fond of animals and dearly loved her dogs and cats. She is remembered for her smile, laugh and hilarious stares. Ruby's surviving family includes her daughter, Marcia Bourdon of South Bend; her son, Robert J. Tschida of South Bend; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Ruby was preceded in death by three husbands, Robert Tschida, Patrick Trimboli and Kenneth Herrmann; as well as three brothers, Arthur and Gerald and Ray Hamman; and a sister, Claire. Ruby's family would like to thank all the staff with the Center for Hospice Care for the kindness and care she received. They are also thankful to the doctors, nurses and staff from Dr. Tran and Dr. Bilal Ansari's office for their excellent care of Ruby. There will be no public services or visitation. Private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Because of her love for animals, Ruby's family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
