BOURBON - Kenneth R. Wilson, 44, a lifetime area resident, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following a two-year battle with heart problems and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The son of Donald K. and Marshall M. (Ellinger) Wilson, Ken was born on July 26, 1969, in Plymouth. He was a 1987 graduate of Plymouth High School. Ken enjoyed working with his hands and worked in construction for several years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with his daughter, Alana. Ken is survived by his daughter, Alana; his parents, Don and Marsha Wilson of Plymouth; one sister, Michelle (Dan) Kodicek of Valparaiso; two brothers, Duane (Anita) Wilson and Chris Wilson, both of Plymouth; and his maternal grandmother, Erma Ellinger of Bourbon. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Ellinger, and his paternal grandparents, Donald R. and Elizabeth Wilson. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Larry Marhanka, pastor of the Plymouth First United Methodist Church, will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon. Memorial contributions in Ken's name may be made to the Plymouth Cancer Institute, 1915 Lake Avenue, Plymouth, IN 46563.
