Beverly A. Hoffman March 29, 1927 - April 19, 2014 GRANGER - Beverly A. Hoffman, 87, of Granger, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Hearth at Juday Creek. She was born March 29, 1927, in Fulton County, to the late Rose (Spencer) and Arthur Burns, and lived most of her life in the South Bend area. On June 30, 1945, in South Bend, she married Robert Lee Hoffman, who died August 25, 1972. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Burns. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Scott of Edwardsburg, MI, Sharon Neher (John) of Naples, FL, Sonia Collmer (John) of Edwardsburg and Sandra Farkas (Jay) of Fort Wayne, IN; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Bedore (Richard) of Scottsdale, AZ.; and her dear friend, Chet. Beverly retired as a Financial Coordinator with Clark Credit Corp. Previously she worked as a bookkeeper for R.L. Hoffman Excavating Co. and also worked for Ham Linville Home Improvement. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 284 and Clark Women's Organization. Beverly was a very loving mother and grandmother. She always said that "I'm a tough old broad," and will be remembered, loved, and missed by all. The family wishes to thank all the healthcare workers at The Hearth for their excellent care for their mother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. Committal services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family today, April 23rd, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
