Robert "Woody" Allmon June 10, 1943 - April 21, 2014 MISHAWAKA - Robert E. "Woody" Allmon, age 70, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2014, due to complications from Diabetes and Stroke at Michiana Health and Rehabilitation. Woody was born to the late Francis Elwood (Ellie) Allmon and the late Cecelia S. (Tede) Allmon in South Bend, Indiana. Woody was raised, in South Bend, and graduated from John Adams High School in 1961. Woody enlisted in the military, after graduation, and served in the United States Army Reserves. Woody enjoyed, and was very interested in anything electric or mechanical, so after returning from the service, he joined Local 153 of the IBEW as a journeyman electrician until his retirement, due to disability, in 2000. In 1990, Woody met Pam Nicodemus Eller, who became the love of his life. They enjoyed vacationing at the family condominium in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and taking day trips all over the area in his 1963 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Woody and Pam were married on July 3, 2000, and spent 24 years together. Woody enjoyed watching Western movies on DVD and owned an extensive collection. He was also a dedicated Notre Dame football fan. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Pam Allmon; his daughter, Wendy Centers (Adam Tozier); his stepchildren, Kevin (Jessica) Eller, William Eller, Greg Eller and Cari Jo (Bryan) Tanner; his grandchildren, Adrienne Allmon and Austin Centers; his step-grandchildren, Jayden and Cassidy Eller, Anthony Ferguson, Jeremy Lynam and Phillip Tanner; and his great-grandson, Gavin Allmon-Foster. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Francis E. and Cecelia S. Allmon, and his sister, Diane Covert of Illinois. At Robert's request, there will be no visitation or services.
