Patrick M. Holley Sept. 11, 1948 - May 16, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Patrick M. Holley, 65, residing in South Bend, passed away at 8:59 am Friday, May 16, 2014, at home. He was born September 11, 1948, in Prince George's County, MD, to the late McKinley Patrick and Mary Elizabeth (Windsor) Holley. He moved to the South Bend area in 1990, coming from a military base in Scotland. Patrick honorably served and protected our country in the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam and other campaigns, and was a 20 year veteran. On July 3, 1994 in Mishawaka, Patrick married the former Linda L. Harmon, whom he has known for 33 years. In addition to his wife, Linda, Patrick is survived by a daughter, Kristie R. Holley of South Bend; sons, Patrick McKinley (April) Holley, Jr. of Kettering, MD and Terrance A. (Frances) Holley of Ft. Washington, MD; grandchildren, Autumn, Tyuasha, Summer, Dylan, Terrance II, William and Olivia Rose; and sisters, Anastasia Ford and Grace Newman, both of Maryland. He was preceded in death by sisters, Rose Ford and Sharon Mitchell. Patrick was employed for 22 years as a maintenance engineer for Century Center in South Bend. He was an avid bowler, belonging to the South Bend Bowling Association and the United States Bowling Congress. Patrick also enjoyed traveling and camping and was a member of Community Baptist Church in South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in Community Baptist Church, 5715 S. Miami Street, South Bend, IN, where military honors will be rendered. Pastor David Pennington will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in Maryland. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Wednesday in the church prior to services. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Contributions in memory of Patrick may be offered to the family.
