Ada Petill

The Guest Book is expired.

Ada Mae (Hutchings) Petill Sept. 29, 1938 - June 15, 2014 VALPARAISO - Ada Mae (Hutchings) Petill, age 75, of 303 McKinley Street, Valparaiso, Indiana, formerly of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at the Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center, while her son stroked her hair. Ada was born on September 29, 1938, in Plymouth, to F. John and Ada (Goss) Hutchings. Ada's greatest joy in life was her precious family. Ada was surrounded by a loving family from the beginning, her sisters and brothers, mother and father, growing with nieces and nephews. She knew no limits in the love she had for her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ada became part of the Listenberger Family while working at the Balloon Wurks Restaurant, for over 30 years. Her kindhearted personality and due diligence made her well known, by her customers; many became like family to her. Ada prided herself on her fierce independence, and a "no pain no gain" attitude. Ada's memory was remarkable, not only for orders, but in life, the good, the bad, and the ugly. She was either with you, or against you, and you had no doubt where you stood. She will be sadly missed, and fondly remembered, by all who knew and loved her. Ada is survived by her loving son, David (Brenda) Hutchings of Valparaiso; her grandchildren, Shai Hutchings of Plymouth, Jes Hutchings of Worland, Wyoming, Eric, Matthew, and William Hines of Valparaiso; her great-grandchildren, Makaila and Lillian Moreno, Skylar and Nathaniel Hutchings; her sisters, Phyllis Kelsey of Plymouth, Susan Newman of Plymouth, Helen (Larry) Beedy of Plymouth, Toni Hutchings of Plymouth, and Elizabeth Smith of Orland Park, Illinois; her brother, James Hutchings of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her sister-in-law, Grace (John, deceased) Hutchings. Ada was preceded in passing by her grandson, Ezekiel Hutchings; her sisters, Marjorie (Harold, deceased) Van Vactor, Mary Jane (Jerry, deceased) Pulliam, and Ruth Hutchings; and her brothers, John (Grace, survives) Hutchings, and Robert Hutchings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: The Heminger House Women and Children's Shelter, Post Office Box 4, Plymouth, Indiana 46563. ~VISITATION~ FRIDAY, JUNE 20, 2014, 4:00-7:30 P.M.
