Thomas L. Parrett, Sr. Nov. 30, 1955 - June 29, 2014 NORTH LIBERTY - Thomas L. Parrett, Sr., 58, passed away at 8:30 am on Sunday, June 29, 2014 in his residence surrounded by his family. Tom was born November 30, 1955 in Michigan City to Marlin Parrett and Molly (Meece) Brown; they survive along with Tom's wife Sharon (Rupert); children, April Buczek, Thomas L. (Jennifer Varga) Parrett Jr., Angus (Samantha Sothman) Shafer, and Gaby (Scott) Tabler; grandchildren, Mackenzie Buczek, Braidyn Shenenberger, and Sadie Tabler; sisters, Marla (Ted) Leonas, Cheryl Zarazee, and Rebecca (Kurt) Tyler-Ludington; brother, Richard (Tonya) Parrett; and many nieces and nephews. Tom attended Rogers High School in Michigan City. He was employed as a truck driver for 37 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 1954 in North Liberty. Tom was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 364. He was active in the North Liberty Township Horse and Pony Club; he was a true cowboy who had a passion for horses that he shared with his wife. Tom enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and camping. He was a hardworking man and devoted husband, father and son. Tom had many close friends. A Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 5 pm on Thursday, July 3, 2014 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service.
