Wayne M. Critchlow Nov. 26, 1974 - July 12, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Wayne M. Critchlow, 39, passed away at 9:30 am Saturday, July 12, 2014, in the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Niles, Michigan. Wayne was born November 26, 1974, in South Bend, to Gerald and Carol (Dabros) Critchlow. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Gerald. On September 6, 1997, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wayne married his "Punkin" Jennifer (Nichols), who survives along with his mother, Carol J. Critchlow; daughter, Madyson Ivy Critchlow; son, Ty Adam Critchlow; brothers, Jerry (Jack Appleman) Critchlow, and Wayne's twin brother, Scott Critchlow; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Becky) Nichols; father-in-law, Rick (Jeanne) Nichols; and nephews, Justin and Jacob Nichols. He is also survived by Bella and Harley, his fur-children. Wayne worked as a manager at Harbor Freight Tools in Mishawaka. He was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Matthew. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Elkhart and loved playing Poker. To quote a childhood friends' reaction to the passing of Wayne, "heaven has gained a comedic angel." Wayne always had a joke, witty comment or funny story to share; his humor was legendary and is his legacy and will be remembered by his friends and family. Wayne was an extremely devoted family man. His intense love for Madyson his "Kidda", Ty, his "Best Buddy" and Jen, his "Punkin," and he was admired by many. Wayne was a Chicago Cubs & Notre Dame Fighting Irish loyal and dedicated fan, and most often was wearing either a Cubs or Irish shirt. Therefore, the family requests that when attending the services to celebrate Wayne's life, please wear your favorite Chicago Cubs shirt/jersey or Notre Dame Fighting Irish shirt/jersey. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 17, 2014, in the Cathedral of St. Matthew. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for the children has been set up at Policeman's Federal Credit Union of South Bend. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net. "GO CUBS!"
