Manuel Dwayne Rucker Oct. 5, 1960 - July 28, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Manuel Dwayne Rucker, 53, of South Bend, Indiana departed this life on July 28, 2014 at Saint Joseph Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born October 5, 1960 to John B Rucker and Lue Jarrett. His father preceded him in death. Manuel received his formal education through the South Bend Community School System. He loved the Lord and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Spiritual Israel Church and its Army. Manuel enjoyed singing in the church. He also loved to dance; doing yard work; and helping others. One of his many pastimes was working on cars which he learned to do at an early age. He will be missed by those who knew him. Manuel is survived by his mother, Lue Jarett of South Bend, Indiana; siblings: Diane L. Rucker, Noah B. Rucker, Mindie R. (Willie) Smith, and Phillip G. Hobbs, all of South Bend, Rufus G. Parker of Tampa, Florida, Marilyn (Ezra) Rideout of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Debra (Kenneth) Anderson of Camden, Arkansas, Eloise Russ of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tracy Rucker of Camden, Arkansas, Nora (Willie) Brown, and Isaiah Rucker, both of Little Rock, Arkansas, Johnnie Mae (David) Crutch of Alexander, Arkansas, Joshua (Quantia) Rucker of Atlanta, Georgia, Susie Mae (Jerry) Crutch, and Ellamola Rucker, both of Little Rock, Arkansas, Eliza Mae Rucker of Camden, Arkansas, Thelma V. Rucker of Little Rock, Arkansas, Lotsamae Bernice Rucker of Camden, Arkansas and Justine Collins of Chicago, Illinois, Kevin Martin of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Brady Clark Jr. of South Bend; stepmother, Thelma Rucker of Camden, Arkansas; and special friends: Mrs. Martha, Mrs. Louise, Mr. Earrie, and Mr. Gary; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him. Manuel was preceded in death by his father, John B. Rucker Sr.; and three brothers: Raymond Moore, Matt A. Rucker and John B. Rucker Jr. Services for Manuel Rucker will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and funeral at 12:00 p.m. Guestbook condolences at Arrangements entrusted to Alford's Mortuary.
