June 15, 1926 - May 22, 2013 MISHAWAKA - Ottilia "Tillie" M. Hoogland, 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 22nd, at home. Tillie was born on June 15, 1926, in Spencer, WI, to John and Gertrude (Hartig) Weber. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Mary Ann Newland and Kathleen Cranor; her sister, Loretta Weinzatl; and brothers, John and Lawrence Weber. On October 11, 1945, she married Matthew Hoogland, who preceded her in death on May 16, 2013. Surviving are a son, Michael (Linda) Hoogland of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren, Robert Newland, Matthew Newland, Steven Newland, Elizabeth Conklin, Thomas Hines, Kimberly Cooper, Adam Hoogland, Christopher Hoogland and Brooke Stout; 19 great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Doris Weber of Phillips, WI, Rosie Weber and Ila Weber, both of Ladysmith, WI. Tillie was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church and Senior Fun Club. She moved from Prentice, WI, in 1947 to Plymouth, and then in 1959 moved to Mishawaka. Visitation for Tillie will be on Friday, May 24, from 4 to 7 p.m., with wake prayers at 5:30 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544; or to Heartland Hospice, 826 W. Edison, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
