Dec. 30, 1986 - June 5, 2013
GRANGER - Mitchell Reed Burrer, 26, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. He is now at home with his grandparents who welcomed him with open arms. Mitchell was born on December 30, 1986, in Kalamazoo, MI, to Reed and Mary (Bare) Burrer. Mitch is survived by his parents, Reed and Mary of Granger; a sister, Nicole (Joshua) Burrer-Dreibelbis, also of Granger; a grandmother, Patricia Burrer of Sarasota, FL. Also surviving Mitch are many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends, all who loved him and will miss him dearly. Mitch touched many lives in his time and we are all better people because of him. Mitch was a claims specialist with Liberty Mutual in Mishawaka but that's not who he was. He was a proud graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Psychology. He lived in Seoul, Korea, where he taught English to Korean elementary students. But Mitch's passion was music. He loved listening to all genres of music, and was known to travel to concerts and festivals across the United States. A very loving, helpful, caring young man, Mitch loved spending time with his family. He never hesitated to give you a hug and a kiss when he saw you. Visitation for Mitch will be on Wednesday, June 12, from 4 to 6 at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 6 pm, with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Private family burial will be held. As Mitch always cared about helping children, memorial donations may be made to CASA, 1000 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN.
