SOUTH BEND - Judith, 54 and Robert Hillers, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 18th, 2013 after being in an auto accident. Judi was born on December 20th, 1958 in Anderson, IN as the daughter of Harry and Lois (Brown) Myers. Bob was born on January 20th, 1954 in South Bend, IN as the son of Edward Tajkowski and Mary Newling. Judi worked for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center as an EEG technician for 15 years and Bob was a service technician for Xerox Corp. for 35 years. Judi and Bob started their lives together as husband and wife on July 11th, 1992. They had 21 happy years together and left this life the same way they spent it, together. Surviving are Judi's mother, Lois Myers of South Bend; children, Erin Hillers of Granger, Beth Hillers of South Bend, Jennifer Segner of St. Louis, MO, Johnna Segner of South Bend, and Kylie (Zach Marks) Segner of South Bend; godson, Stone Cash of Anderson; Judi's brothers, Rick (Ashley) Myers of San Diego, CA and Robert (JoAnna Samuels) Myers of Elkhart; Bob's sister, Virginia Bloss of South Bend and his brothers, Ned Hillers of North Judson and Michael Hillers of North Judson; and four grandchildren, Ava Perez, Grace Hillers, Raegan Surface-Segner, and Bryson Marks. Bob and Judi loved nothing more than spending time with their five daughters and four grandchildren. They were loved by all and never met a stranger, known for opening their home to many young people throughout the years. Bob spent many years coaching softball, including the Riley High School Softball team. He was also an avid Notre Dame Football fan. Judi was a kind and caring woman who selflessly gave of her time and energy to everyone she met. These two amazing people touched many lives over the years and will be greatly missed. Visitation for Judi and Bob will be on Friday, August 23rd from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Chapel, on Fir Road, Granger, on Saturday, August 24th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior in the church, with Pastor Bob Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for care of Bob and Judi's godson, Stone Cash, the surviving son of Janice Cash.
