NORTH LIBERTY - Donald Clark was born in North Liberty, IN, on February 6, 1930, the son of the late George and Hazel Steele Clark. In 1961 he was united in marriage to Barbara Franklin, who preceded her husband in death on June 20, 1984. On January 1, 1993, he was united in marriage to Wilhelmina "Wilma" DiCiaccia, who preceded him in death on August 20, 2008. Mr. Clark was a retired maintenance worker for Wheel-a-brator. He served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. Don loved working on cars and lawn mowers. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and most importantly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Clark departed this life on September 19, 2013, in Jackson, TN, at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 13 days. Don is survived by his children, Cynthia Clark of South Bend, Indiana, and Lynda Clark of Granger, Indiana; seven stepchildren, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Halt of North Liberty, IN, and Lucy Claudio of Painsville, OH; and two brothers, Keith Clark of North Liberty, IN, and James Clark of North Manchester, IN. Mr. Clark is also survived by a special friend, Dorthie Lowe of Savannah, TN. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Clark and Lloyd Clark, and one stepson. A celebration of Don's life will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, 25075 Stanton Rd., North Liberty, IN 46554. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 PM Tuesday at Pine Creek Church and also from 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home-South Bend is assisting the family with arrangements.
