Timothy Przygocki Obituary
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Timothy Przygocki passed away peacefully after a long illness. Born to Marie and Joseph Przygocki (Przak) in Mishawaka, he graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1968. He was drafted in 1969, and he served in the Army HHC V COSCOM in Frankfurt, Germany. A passionate, charming man who could make anyone laugh, Tim will be missed by his family and his many friends. He is survived by wife, Robbyn Jackson, stepmother, Mary Gregor, sons, Damion (Michelle) Steele and Augustino Przygocki, daughter, Priscilla Przygocki, 3 grandchildren, sister, Carolyn (Joey) Schwalbach, and half-brothers, Eric and John Przygocki. Tim moved to San Francisco in 1972 and worked on the historic full-rigged ship BALCLUTHA, where he made historic ship preservation his passion and career, volunteering for the San Francisco Maritime Museum and working his way up to historic ship rigger. Tim served as the Safety and Hazardous Materials manager for San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park until his retirement from the NPS in September, 2010. Tim enjoyed restoring and driving his 1979 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. A celebration of his life will be held this summer in San Francisco. For information contact: [email protected]. My deepest sympathy to Tim's family. I think that Tim's energy was just too big to be contained in any one person. That he gave a bit of himself away to the people around him. And that some of his energy will always remain in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew him. Tim will be missed, and long remembered.

I remember Tim and his wonderful personality from high school. It appears that he had a very interesting and fulfilling life. Reading about a former classmate makes you sorry that you lose touch with old friends. My thoughts are with the family at this time of loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Tim at SF Maritime and am saddened to learn of his passing. We kept up our friendship over Facebook and shared many values and political opinions in our posts. I will miss his passion, sincerity and humanity. My deepest sympathies to his survivors and loved ones. Sail on sailor.

Tim always had the spunk and soul SO much bigger than all of us. Reading his obit has confirmed for me that he would someday do something totally unique and he did. I am so sorry for you loss. I have fond memories of Tim and know he will be missed by many. Make sure his free spirit lives on.
