WALKERTON - LaVerne E. Rough, 82, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016, at Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth, Ind.
LaVerne was born October 25, 1934, in Starke County, Ind., to Henry and Lillian (Segert) Rough, and lived in the area all of her life.
LaVerne was a retired nursing assistant at the Teegarden Nursing Home. She attended the Teegarden Church of the Brethren, was a graduate of Tyner High School and a member of the County Line Club of Walkerton.
Survivors include three sisters, Virginia (Gene) Morris of Walkerton, Carole (John) Sahlhoff of Bremen and Sandy (Scott) Schuster of Plymouth; and two brothers, Wayne (Sandy) Rough of Walkerton and Paul (Christine) Rough of Walkerton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Dorothy Wringer, Mary Swihart and Janet Rough.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, with Pastor Robbie Keck officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may visit Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET. Memorial contributions may be given to the Hospice Foundation or the Teegarden Church of the Brethren.
